Default Pics of my new-to-me 2008 C2S

Hi all,

From my Rennlist username you can infer I've recently moved into the 997 realm from the air cooled set (I guess I should have had more forethought on my choice of username...). The Targa was a great daily driver for 10 years, but it was time to get something newer:

I got the '08 a couple months ago, but only this week have finally had some time to get pictures suitable for sharing. I found the car CPO with 26,000 miles, and am thoroughly loving it. It's amazing the difference 12 years makes...

The car is really well optioned (original sticker $110k) with factory Aerokit Cup, PSE, Sport Chrono, XRR Carrera Sport wheels, Bose audio, heated adaptive sport seats with embossed crests in the headrests, full leather interior, thicker sport steering wheel, red stitching on seats, red seat belts and gauges, illuminated stainless door sills, self-dimming mirrors, etc.

It was originally ordered with full red taillights, but they had been replaced with the standard red/clear taillights before I bought the car. I think I prefer the current lenses, personally.

The car also was ordered with a model designation delete, but I thought the rear deck needed a splash of color, so I added the silver "Carrera" and red "S" emblems.

I've since also added Rennline grilles for the front bumper, as well as a Dension Gateway 500 with BTA-1500 bluetooth module (from Eric @ BumperPlugs).

Looking forward to hanging out on the 997 board with you guys.

-Chris

Thanks! I wasn't really looking for a black on black car, but the red accents really sold me on it.

From where did you get the rear LEDs?

Frank at Orange Tuning (info@orange-tuning.de) in Germany is where I got mine. There are other options - Ray at ROTTec (info@ROTtecCarbon.com) I believe has them too.

Now THIS is a beautifully appointed car. Well done on picking it up. Who ever had it first really detailed it out nicely. And the Basalt black is super nice. And there is something that is just great about those wheels. Congratulations.

That car makes my eyes hurt - in a very good way!!! Those red accents are perfect (did you see the red piped mats from the other post, they'd be a nice subtle touch as well!).

I'm thinking that had a much higher sticker than $110k unless some of those goodies were added later.

Actually, not really. The only upgrade change from original equipment were the wheels (originally ordered wheels were 19" Turbo wheels). The Porsche dealer I bought it through was able to get copies of the original build sheet and resulting order list for me. Total MSRP was $110,010. But that was from a base price of $83,800, so still quite a few options nonetheless...

EDIT: re-reading the build sheet, it appears the illuminated door sills were added later too. So, you're right, Spokane5150, a bit north of $110k.
