After selling my 2002 C4s a month ago I have seller's remorse. I have located
a 2008 C4s w/19K and Porsche warranty until 4/14. Usual extras include
full leather, sport chrono, Bose premium, upgraded wheels and misc. stuff.
What is a fair (translate: bargain) price for this beauty? Seller says he doesn't
have to sell and I responded that I don't have to buy but you've heard all that,
I'm sure. How much should I be paying?
Thanks!

Seller wanted 66k and before I had a chance to counter it was gone. I know part of the fun is in the hunt
but this car was exactly what I wanted and I think I would be having more fun driving it than searching for another. Oh well.

Im pretty sure that was the one I had a sale pending on, in New Canaan right? Yep pretty much the perfect car for me as well. Turns out that he had accepted my offer of 66K before your post. In fact I had been negotiating with him for about a month to get him down from his initial price of 71K.
Started setting up a PPI and wanted to schedule the test drive first. That's when the excuses for not being able to meet started coming from the seller. Then he stopped returning my e-mails and phone messages. Not one response for more than a week.
So here it is a week later and he sends me this e-mail
"Sorry for the delayed response. Unfortunately, I'm not 100% positive I'm going to be selling the car. A lot of moving parts and will keep you posted if something changes. "
So it may come up for sale again, who knows, but I'll not talk with this seller again. I have no trust in him or his word. I'm just glad he changed his mind before the PPI and not after it.
Good luck with your hunt.

Indeed, that was the car! I guess I didn't miss out after all. I feel bad for you and thankfully my quest
for that car didn't go so far. I'm sure we'll both find our special C4s but I hope we're not competing
bidders.

FWIW i bought my 2008 C4S CPO from dealer last may with 7000 miles for 69k.
aero, full leather, 6 sp, sport seats, bose prem, painted seat backs, painted center console, carrera sport wheels. No sports chrono. I would say 60k is bargain territory

Hello, I'm new to this forum but have been lurking since last fall when I bought a 2008 C4. I know it's not an S but I paid 48.6K . It had 38k miles. I had PPI done but no CPO. I looked at a 2008 C4S last week at the local mercedes dealer (Vin Devers autohause) (google it ) they have listed around 58K. The car looks very nice with I think 28k miles. This dealer was a porsche dealer at one time and usually has a few on his lot.

Here's my rule in life....I never let money stand in the way of getting something I really want, especially when it's one of a kind (as long as I actually have the money)!
If you want it and it's $5K more than you want to spend....what's the issue????
Life is sooooo short.
Enjoy!
Best,
Tom
Hey Tom,
Love your philosophy! If I had customers like you in my business I'd be buying
a new P car... and one with PDK for the wife too.
Cheers.
