I seriously considered the same path you took. But with MPSC now costing $700 for a rear tire, and the prospect of having a set of orphaned wheels when I decided to move on, I just couldn't justify it. I only run 5 tracks per year. On my last car, 996TT, the track tires aged hardened before they were close to being worn out. This might be related to the fact that I'm only running at about 7/10. So I decided to stick with street tires, burn down the craPerellis that came withe car and update to MPSS or RE11 in the future.
