Default Fabspeed x-pipe (200 cell cats) require a flash?

Have a 997.1 Carrera S with aftermarket (Gemballa) mufflers already and have purchased a Fabspeed x-pipe and Evo intake. Is it considered advisable (or even required) to flash the ecu with these mods? If so, who likes what software upgrade?

I have the cats. No re-flash required.
Auto Associates in Canton indicates that the flash will work additional magic.

thanks for the info, skibum. i see you have a borla exhaust - is that just mufflers or also headers? do you have an intake of any kind?

I have the Fabspeed sport cats/xpipe and EVOms intake.
I did a Softronic flash at the same time.
My shop says that's the best way to get the most out of the mods and to avoid the check engine light.
I'm very happy with the set up.

Save your money. Very little gains if any (unproven). Lots of extra noise so you know where your money went is about it.

The gain in performance by adding the 200 cell cats will be realized with or without a flash.
It is quite noticeable.

FYI
I just have the Borla cans and the cats, no headers, no intake.
I'll agree with John that a flash would help get every last bit of performance.

i appreciate the insight john and ski. i plan to do each mod separately to gauge the performance difference better. interesting side note, i just sold a turbo audi to buy the 997S and the Stromung exhaust had a sport cat as part of the system and they were clogging up after about 6-7 years. after a brand new Magnaflow sport cat was put on, the exhaust sound was back and all the performance was back - incredible difference. since the stock cats on this car are approximately 7 years old, don't underestimate the lost of power you might be experiencing. the cat that came off the stromung had just near pinholes left. that may be the biggest improvement moving to the sport cats - tired, clogged stock cats to brand new 200-cell cats. i have no doubt there will be a significant difference. the intake will just be a nice extra. once i add headers, i'll definitely do a flash, if not before.
