Default Rear-ended: Looking for reputable NYC area body shop

My 2007 997 C4 was just rear-ended. I am looking for a reputable NYC area body shop. The damage is to the rear bumper cover and bumperette and I'm concerned about matching the paint on a 2007 midnight blue car. Any recent referrals would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Ask the guys at detailing dynamics (board sponsors) - they seemed *fastidious* about detailing, and would only work with one or two body-shops in particular. I'm sure they will be able to sort you out...

Truly only one place to go. Martinos in Glen Cove. They are artists and just fixed my car with a tremendous rear end hit perfectly (See my thread "My Odyssey is over".

I'll shoot you a PM with my phone number....there is no one....NO ONE.....like them.

Hope to speak with you soon.

Best regards,

Tom

While a little further south, Concours in Pennsauken, NJ have worked on my car and I couldn't be happier. They're true artists--and reasonably priced.

Try Numme Autobody in Port Chester NY. They do repairs for New Country Porsche and the Ferrari dealer (both nearby in Greenwich). Not cheap but it will be done right.

Default Quality Auto Body in NJ

I have owned Porsche vehicles for the last 20 years and there is only one place I would take my vehicles to and that is Quality Auto Body in NJ. They have been working on Porsche since the 70s when they first opened. They are certified by a major dealership Ray Catena and by Porsche. They work on Porsche vehicles all the time.

I live in Manhattan myself and they just sned a tow-truck to come get my Porsche anytime I need them. They dont seem to have a problem coming here to get it. I have also driven over to them a few times for things and it wasnt that far away.

Here is their address:

Quality Auto Body
811 New Brunswick Ave
Rahway, NJ 07065
732-388-2400

Tell them that Mike sent you if you call them. They know me as I have been going there for years.

Try Overseas Auto Body in Hastings-On-Hudson, NY.. Just north of the Bronx. Ask for Chris.. They do all the work for BMW and MB factory cars. They do amazing work. I had a tree fall on my car 2 years ago and the insurance adjuster I used could't believe the out come.

I've used Northstate Custom in Mt. Kisco, NY and I've been very pleased. Their link is attached.

I love it. Everybody thinks their own shop is the best and there is "nobody like them".

Most body shops suck, a small number are better than average, and a handful are really competent.

I've used bodymotion and was satisfied, but you really need to speak to the shop, get comfortable with them, and check in during every stage of the process.
