Default Does the "front spoiler" just snap in?

This part (http://goo.gl/V5I3p) is missing on my 997.1. I can't tell from the diagrams how it is installed. Is this just snapped in somehow?

Thanks,
Jason

I would suggest the use of something like Rueglide--a rubber lube. Perhaps an easier to find product is simply silicon spray.

These things wind up sheared off when you hit a dip in the road--unfortunately. I am hoping that that part is not that essential to routine driving aerodynamics, because I have gone through two of them, myself!

(I noticed the new 991 does away with that part).

While I'm tempted to put it back in, I suspect a few more encounters with dips will take the next one(s).

Yep, the lugs on the top of it go into slots in the bumper cover. I hit a truck tire in the road one night and tore mine off.
I had the dealer put a new one on, as it was much easier on a lift.
Seems like it was $70 or so.
