this may get me killed, but best I can tell is it's the process of molesting otherwise pristine pipes at the rear of the vehicle for the purpose of improving the sound of the exhaust. Don't know if you get more power that way or not.

-that's from a hack. The experts will weigh in with more useful info.

It is a modification to your stock exhaust that allows some un-muffled exhaust to exit the vehicle.
If done really nicely it looks like this:

have you been under the *** of a 991 lately?

on the "S" model they basically duplicated the gundo hack, bypassing the side mufflers completely with the inner outlets, and the new PSE does the same but obviously can be closed..

i'm a big fan of the gundo hack and the only loss is a little torque (PSE closes down low rpm to counter this loss)... gundo hack sounds great..

my 991 gets in my hands tomorrow and i already have an appt next week for the first 991 gundo hack, as well as lowering the vehicle and a nice alignment/corner balance :-D

If done really nicely it looks like this:
Not that you will ever see those nice welds again once the mufflers are installed. I hit mine with VHT paint before installing.

Love the hack - have had it on my '06 since '07....
