Congrats and nice write up - enjoy driving it!! Far too many garage queens and nervous nellies on this forum, don't worry about the IMS issue if you drive as frequently as its sounds it'll stay lubed and more than likely never cause you and issue!!

The car is nice and it's nice to know that there is a home for a 90K car.. I'm betting it drives like a new car...

The reason for posting; you did a great job with the photography.... what camera did you use...
Great eye...

+1. If it hasn't happened yet, you're almost certainly in the clear. It only affects a tiny percentage of cars to begin with, mostly in the early years (or for very lightly driven cars).

That's a heck of a deal! You can barely get a Cayman for that kind of price!

In case you ever need to carry more than ski's, we have a full compliment of Roof Transport Accessories.

A bike rack, for instance...

Thanks for the comments everyone. I really feel like part of a new fraternity. Haha.

The car drives well for all the mileage, especially with sport mode on. It pulls hard in 2nd gear to redline. Previously the car was a daily driver for a traveling lawyer.

So you are recommending replacing bearings from Porsche to an aftermarket
bearing...do you know the failure rate between the 2 companies? Do you know how many of the aftermarket bearings have been installed and how many miles of actual use?

From what I understand, most IMS failure will result in severe if not total engine failure. Do you know which company we will have a better chance of getting some type of replacement from? Porsche or an aftermarket company. I would think writing a letter to porsche and say I have an engine failure due to an aftermarket bearing will mean your are SOL...

I would like to hear more...

Some thoughts. get the IMS LN engineering fix and you won't have to worry. I'd say the fit on the Porsche is very good. Seems like you really look after your stuff. I find my 997 wearing better than my BMW did, given the same care. But overall tough to tell. Porsche gear box is way better. Cant comment vs. the S2000. However, enjoy! Shes very well kept for 90k.
