Default Sport-PASM

So I've been reading the manual and posts here about the Sport/PASM feature.

I have a 2005 S Cab...I also have the "Sport" mode and "PASM" mode...do eithe of these lower my car? Because I sure can't tell if they do.

Thanks,

Mark

Nope...Sport PASM was not available until the .2 2009 models. Sport Mode doesn't mean Sport PASM...Sport PASM is lower and slightly stiff than regualar PASM

Hope this helps you understand a little better.

yes, at least on my '06, PASM stiffens up the ride (i.e. the damping/rebound) to more aggressive setting and lowers the suspension by...10mm i think...? i cant exactly remember but it does lower it slightly.

Sport PASM was a option on 2009 and later models. It lowers the car 20 mm (3/4 inch) and also included a limited slip differential. Your car doesn't have it unfortunately.

sorry, i misspoke slightly - the PASM is 10mm lower but as a result of the option itself vs. non PASM cars. switching it on and off does nothing for height.

SPASM or PASM dont lower the car. The car just is lower. Your car is 10mm lower and a 2009+ with SPASM is 20mm lower.

Oh boy....I'm confused. I thought the car came from the factory 10mm lower and did not lower when you hit the button. Whatever it does....it's bad ***!

If you have PASM - that is correct. It comes from the factory 10mm lower. Pressing the button does not make it go up, down or sideways

You are correct.

Non PASM car = "base" ride height
PASM car = "base" ride height -10mm
Sport PASM car = "base" ride height -20mm

All ride heights are "fixed", meaning that they are not adjustable with the push of a button.

PASM Button ON = firmer, stiffer ride compared to normal mode (PASM OFF).
