Default Suggestions for end of warranty inspection

I am taking my car to the dealer on Monday for some routine maintenance but more importantly, for them to do an inspection for issues that should be addressed before my factory warranty ends in 10 days.

Any particular issues that I should ask them to carefully inspect?

Thanks

Mark

You should take out an extended warranty, following the inspection, before the factory one expires! If you don't you will responsible for any faults which could be deemed to have occurred between warranties...

Fully agree. I did purchase a Fidelity extended warranty last November. But want to make sure the expiring Factory warranty inspection picks up all the things that seem problems and that PCNA will cover.

In any event, if something is missed, I will have extended coverage.

Are they doing a PPI inspection kinda ? as there's pages of items with boxes to tick off .

I don't think you can get a more thorough inspection

Good Luck

I had them go over the entire car, but most importantly aftermarket warranties don't cover squeaks and rattles so if you have any of these (even minor) I would bring them to the attention of the service guys.

Just keep in mind that an extended warrantee doesn't cover everything. I covers the big obvious stuff like the tranny and engine, etc., but cosmetic issues, and things like the PCM are not covered, so if any of those things have acted up or been an issue for you, you need to convey that to the dealership now so that they are covered by the original warranty. Porsche skates by on a lot of this stuff because owners don't make an issue of things--when they should.

In the UK an extended warranty does now cover the PCM. Not sure about in the US...
