Incentives on remainder 2011 and 2012 99 inventory
Took the car in for a service this week and it got me thinking about a possible upgrade from my 2008 S Cab with the 6 speed. Anyone know if there are any incentives to support remainder 2011 (and maybe even 2012) inventory as the new 991 is being rolled out? Interested in a 991 too, but the 997.2 is a nice upgrade from my 2008 and I'm guessing this may be a decent time to buy.
Any thoughts, guys? |
I've seen $17k off on a 2011 GTS. Listed at $117k asking $100k.

I saw comparable deals at Rusnak in Pasadena. GTS at $99k looks like a buy. They had 2 of them.

Celebrated 11 years in the US last weekend by snagging a leftover 2011 C2S with PDK and SC. Only 88 miles on the clock but warranty punched last October. Sticker was $103,800 and I got it for $85,000 with no trade and my own financing.
I am sure I could have done better but I wanted it too bad. No regrets, I am loving my first p-car. In fact, I can't get the grin off my face :D |

i would suggest getting a 991!... never understood buying the last year of the last version of a vehicle as your depreciation will hit much harder even with that discount... thats why the dealers are getting rid of em, before they can't sell em (i.e. situation youll be in) without discounting heavily.
997 is a great chassis, but im sure you can build the vehicle you want, msrp will be close to that on the 997 and subtract a discount and your what, 10k more than the 997..? |

The remaining 997's are a great value. The new 991 is the next step in the evolution of the 911, with absolutely no slight to the 997.2's. Both are awesome racing/driving vehicles with an everyday useability. The new PDCC and PTV features of the 991 will impress the drivers looking to maximize their racing or dynamic driving pleasures. There are two mind sets of a Porsche buyer...1-good discount=good deal...2- driving the latest creation from Porsche is the trophy they want to display. Find a 911 with the right color/options/transmission set-up with the right straight forward dealer/salesperson and do it!
