can't believe they're telling you that should live with it because "that's what some of these cars do". what a load of sh*t. Get them to put that in writing (is it a Porsche dealer?) and go straight to corporate with that.

If it's not a wheel balancing or alignment issue, then yeah, you might have to check the bearings and what not (I'm not a mechanical expert).

Sorry, man, best of luck in sorting this out. Maybe dropping your car with new suspension bits and bushings with a new alignment might help your cause...then you get a nice upgrade, too! (but that wouldn't take care of wheel bearings, of course...would rule that out first.)

I recommend finding a higher-end specialty tire/wheel/brake/alignment shop and taking it to them. I've been plagued in the past with stuff like this and have <finally> discovered that the right shop is key.

Good luck!

It's had a four wheel alignment right? either way yes or no, i'd realign.

when it's on the lift and you shake the **** out of each front end component is there any play? you should be able to feel a bad wheel bearing. you should also be able to feel a bad steering box.

if you can't feel that I'd look at control arm bushings.

the tire pressures are correct, right? overinflation will cause this.

I might consider working with another technician if your current tech is giving up. you can't push water up hill.

Does the car exhibit this behavior on any and all highways? Or are you always driving the same highway?

I ask because the construction of certain roads will induce a bit of a wobble in the steering. We have a hwy locally that does this.
