CPO car with upgraded wheels- real?
The CPO car I am purchasing has 19" carrera classic wheels, which are a nice bonus. It came with 18" Carrera III wheels.
Maybe this has been covered elsewhere, but is there a way (or ways) to tell if the 19 inch wheels are genuine Porsche? If the car is a CPO, does that mean that they are the real thing and have been checked out? Maybe a part number on the back or front to look for or a part code?
Thanks in advance!

If they're OEM Porsche wheels they will have a Porsche part # on the back of one of the spokes.
Like 997 xxx xxxx. Look for the 997.... something part #.
CPO does require oem wheels to be on the car, but it doesn't always pan out that way. Check for the part #'s.

The OEM wheels are made by a handful of manufacturers. I'd look for the stylized "P" in an inverted triangle, knockoff manufacturers might stamp a part number but they're not likely to use the Porsche part logo.

Thanks guys! I'll make them put it up on the lift to check for the numbers and the P inverted triangle logo.

Most of the OEM wheels have the width and offset stamped on either side of the valve stem - that info plus the part number should give comfort that you have the real deal.

My 19" Carrera Classic wheels have the part number and the manufacutrer, BBS, cast on the inside of the wheel.
