My 2005 997-S alarm system has a mind of its own. I set the alarm with the key and most of the time there is no problem. But occasionally, and with no consistency, the alarm goes off, minutes or hours later (2 nights ago at 3AM in my garage). This has happened approximately 5 times in the last 6 months. Any suggestions??

 

Do a search here on the forum. Seems to be a common problem. I,myself, have been plagued with the very same issue.
