are these OEM seats
Can anyone tell if these are real Porsche seats or knockoffs?
Im sure they were installed post delivery - see how the seatbelts are not properly setup?

Sports Bucket seats and they were about a $3K option that you could order direct from the factory. How are the belts not properly set up? They look to be installed the same as mine (which are OEM from the factory) but maybe I missed something. Maybe there are knockoffs out there but its hard to tell from just a picture.

Last car I saw with these seats had the seat belt looping through an opening in the back and through the side... the belt buckle was inside the seat itself...
Also, the build sheet for the car shows comfort seats... strange

regular seatbelts go thru the lateral opening on the seat itself and down to the bottom of the car's floor. It seems they added these seats later and left the seatbelts undone to make easy access to the rear seats...

D'oh, I get it. Never really noticed. Apologies for the crummy picture but it's a rainy day here and there isn't much light getting into the garage.

As noted, they are sport buckets and they are awesome. Not easy to get in/out of but perfect in every other way IMO.
The PO must have added them on later or maybe the dealer swapped them in? Either way you can sell those for $5000 all day long and get replacement comfort seats if you want to have the car in stock form.

if those are authentic OEM "GT2 bucket seats", then the belt end will mount to the seat itself (and pass thru the opening, then up to tensioner). i cant see from the pic if they actually attached the belt end to the standard mount on the B (?) pillar but in any event it's an easy fix.

the 09 997.2 C4S launch edition had the sport seats standard, and there are alot of them around for sale. the complaint was that nobody could get in and out of them. So alot of the cars got their seats sold or swapped by the dealers. Some cars got the seats swapped into other cars. Maybe this is one of those deals

Those are real OEM Porsche sport buckets.
In the last pic you can see the thorax air bag. Only the original would have that.
These seats would cost $10k to purchase new at this point. Awesome seat. I love them.
