Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned limited warranty?

IMO CPO is much more desirable than other warranties.
Big warranty discussion right now on another thread. "Well it finally happened", have you read that one?
That car you're considering has a lot of miles. Probably shouldn't pay over $45k.

Yeah, saw that thread and I'm leaning not getting an after market warranty. But the Certified cars seem like a good option.
I agree, 50k is too high. I might be able to talk them down to 45k ish.

In terms of coverage, an exclusionary warranty from a reputable shop, like Fidelity or EasyCare, is more comprehensive and covers labor. According to my dealer, which is an authorized agent for Fidelity, they've never had any issue getting a claim paid (and BBB records support the fact that Fidelity and EasyCare are very reliable). Most of the complaints you see online are either from people who bought low-cost, low-coverage warranties, or from less reliable vendors.
The advantage of a CPO is that your car has to meet a set of criteria to qualify which lets you know that it's in pretty good shape. It's also probably more marketable than an aftermarket warranty if you want to sell the car.

CPO is BETTER FOR SURE, because not only it's from Porsche, it also is ONLY given on cars that have met certain criteria, have solid background and history, min tire, min brakes, no accidents, etc... so not only it helps with repair costs in the coming years, it also gaurantees that the car you're getting is a good car! To me, the latter is more important than former while purchasing used.

I figured your price point is around $50k and I think you're looking for and C2S. I think you can get a lot more for you money if you shop a little more. Don't be afraid to tell these guys you found them on Manheim. They are still making a $2-3K selling these cars at Auction. I'd like to see you get into a car with lower mileage that way you don't get nickle'd and dime'd to death after you buy it doing a bunch of maintenance.
