Default Cost to dealer for CPO

I thought it was about $1600 for a dealer to CPO a car... is that correct?

I think the question is two-part.

How much does PCNA charge a dealership to put the VIN in their system as a CPO'ed car?

Part two is subjective from one dealer to another. I have purchased several CPO'ed cars and shopped many more. Some dealers are by the book and and as an example will put on all new tires if needed. Others will skimp and say the tires meet the depth required by Porsche regardless if they do or not.

From what I have seen PCNA doesn't police the dealerships to see if they skimp on CPO.

I meant the first... how much does PCNA charge the dealership?

I've been told 2000, then 2500, then 2,995 yesterday. My guess is your 1,600 number is closer to the truth. If an extended warranty is 1000 a year, they are probably paying less than that.
