Thanks Alan C. for the great research and info! This forum is truly a great resource.

This topic originated because I was thinking of trading in my 2009 C2S Cab for a nearly identical car with only the following differences: 2010 C4S Cab with 18,000 miles instead of my 2009 C2S Cab with 13,000 miles, newer car also had PDK, heated steering, and NAV. My thought was to change the button shifters to paddles, but I didn't want to lose the heated steering. After driving the PDK Saturday afternoon for over an hour, I decided a few things. Although PDK is awesome technology, and my 6 speed shifting technique is average at best, I still like the manual because it's challenging, involving, and for me, more fun. I also decided that I know the care and maintenance on my car is meticulous, and the newer care showed signs of being run hard and put away wet too many times. Think I'll stand pat for now.
