Default Porsche Morning

I typically make my morning commute in utter darkness and solitude to keep time with my East Coast-based office. But since today is so nice in Portland, I slept in a little.

What a difference the daylight makes! Just out of my neighborhood, I pulled up to a very well-kept 3.2 Carrera coupe. A guards red 911 is a pretty good way to start the day. The woman driving it gave me a great smile and a wave. Really made me miss my old '86.

A few miles up the road, a gorgeous black 997 C4 pulled in behind me. He followed me until my entrance to the freeway and then gave me a big wave as well.

It sure makes for a good start to the day when greeted by fellow Porsche enthusiasts in such a friendly manner.

I hope everyone's day goes equally well.

It's these small things in life that make life so good. We're all lucky to be driving what we're driving...

The old air cooled cars are still an emotional car and a timeless design. It's this time of year with spring right around the corner that I miss the air cooled cars hibernating in the garage for the winter.

I also take my car whenever there's no snow to grace the boring roads here in the Midwest!
