I just picked up a used 2009 997s and I am a very happy *****! As a RennStalker (typically) I have always enjoyed seeing pics from fellow Porsche nuts, so I thought I would share a few of my new toy.
Please forgive the quality of the pics - from my phone.
For me this is a return to Porsche. 3 years ago I foolishly sold my ’06 997S and bought a new BMW M3 (E92). The M3 was very nice but it only made me miss the 911. Especially at the track – but around town as well. The M3 is a nice car but….it’s no 911. So I have been looking to get back into a Porsche for a while. When I saw this car I figured the time was right.
A few details about the car I ended up buying: 17k miles, seems very well cared for with virtually no (obvious) signs of neglect or abuse. This car looks to be very heavily optioned (far more boxes checked than if I were specing it – but that is a cost issue). I did a PPI and the mechanic thought it looked like a winner – with no signs of track work (that will soon change) and everything essentially factory fresh.
From what I can tell, the car is equipped as follows:
Aqua Blue Metalic
Natural Leather - Brown
PDK
Extended Navi
Sport Chrono
Bose
Turbo Wheels
Mobile Phone Prep
Dynamic Lighting System
Park Assist
Heated Seats
Dimming Mirrors
Universal Audio
Spacers 5mm
Crest Headrest
Crest Seats
Footrest Sports look
Paddle Wheel
Aluminum Shifter Brake
One question have is about the phone cradle – which appears to be set up for a blackberry. I have an iPhone, so I’ll need to get that switched – if I can figure out where to get the part … anybody have any idea?
My only mod so far is the childs seat you see in the passenger rear. From my butt dyno I think it may add 4-5 hp![burnout](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/burnout.gif)
Mods to come: exhaust enhancement – either Sharky or Tubi (what man doesn’t enjoy aural gratification), GT3 Front Lower Control Arms to gain camber, Pagid Yellows, SRF, MPSC tires, and a few other small bits I’m sure…
Anyway, that’s my new (used) toy. Happiness is driving a car you really love!

Beautiful car! Might be my favorite color combo. Love the Aqua Blue/Natural Brown! That's what I was looking for, but ended up with Lapis/Sand Beige.
Lots of luck with the new car!
