Default Nose Bra...OMG

In preperation for a road trip I bought a COLGAN BRA...
Thinking ahead we will be leaving on a short road trip before the major trip to BRBS (BLUE RIDGE BOXSTER REUNION) late may.
So, unbox the BRA, OK not bad the hood part goes on easily, now the fun begins, ...leave it in the sun for a few minutes, as per instructions, to "warm up" "this thing doesnt look like it will fit, wrong model?"
Read instructions...fit the tab A over the area B, hook the metal hook under the fender...bend with pliers to make fit.....WHAT?...
Needless to say after 45 minutes of pulling and hooking .. time for a beer, we'll try again tomorrow.....WHAT A MAJOR P. I. A....
Is this one of those things that gets MUCH easier after the first time?

There will only be 1 time.
After you see what happens under the bra after it's been on for a while you won't be using it.
IMHO of course.

+1. Don't let the bra get wet. It then becomes abrasive to the paint under the bra... Ask me how I know. Dust & debris get under there no matter how clean you are...

Clear bra is the way to go IMHO...

Clear bra, maybe. But, a black, vinyl bra attached with clips? No thanks.
Whatever its worth as "protection," is more than over-ridden by its sheer ugliness.
Why not just drive around with a car cover on your Porsche?

Agree with the posts above; issues when wet, abrasion of paint by bra flapping in the wind with dust and debris underneath, just plain ugly, not to mention the problems you're having getting it to fit. If you must get a bra, get a quality clear one.

If you live in South FL, and travel north on the FL TPKE in the spring...the bugs will eat your paint,
We'll use the bra only while on the road, gotta' try it...

Not that bad. I use a Colgan bra in another vehicle (SUV) for long road trips and it does the job. Yes, if it rains one needs to remove it once you stop for the day and let it dry, but it is not a big deal.

To the OP: Do heat up the bra before you mount it. Make sure the car is spotless before you attach the bra. Make sure the bra is securely fastened.
