I like my Bose. I think the one in my 2012 GTS is better than the one in my previous 997.1 cars.

Actually... the std stereo in the 997.2 is quite good. No need for Bose or anything else.

I just purchased a 997.1 cab S with the Bose, I fully expected to have to rip out and replace the head unit, the speakers the sub etc. I say this because I have done this on previous cars; M3, 2006 and 2009 caymans....but i have to say it sounds Ok, plus I lucked out and it came with the Mobridge iPod interface. Are there better systems out there in cars, absolutely yes, but is it worth dropping $2-3k on an upgrade...in a cab, I don't think so. I would call myself almost obsessed by music be it live, vinyl, Cd, or digital.....but since I bought the 911s with Pse I find the audio is not on...the sound of the engine/exhaust is intoxicating. If I need music its loud enough, does not distort and with all the 'other' sound interference it's fine, I would say it sounds better without the 'surround' switched on.
