Lobster Forks are beefy, 80's, classic = PURE 911

I think the claws define the 997 just like the Fuchs defined the earlier 911's.

Both are good lightweight designs that say Porsche when you see them.

That said, I am a big fan of the Turbo II's.

I would submit that the more relevant question would be will the all-black wheels of today become the equivalent of the gold mesh BBS's of the 80's?

I really like them! I think they are the new Fuchs.

I love me some Lobstahs!

But seriously, I think the factory black painted lobster forks with the silver lip look really awesome. Reminds me of the old Fuchs.

The D90s are just all round horrible. They do not even look good aged.
I keep a set of BBS wheels in the garage for a 964 in the event I ever buy a 964 that has D90s.

Lobster forks look great. They could be called Cup III.....

When ever I see a clean plain jane 997 on Lobsters i cant help but want one. Especially in black or silver. The contrast are very nice IMO.

I stand corrected on the whole "claws vs forks" thing...I never eat lobster so my ignorance has shown in this area. Forks it is!

I guess I'm doing well then, haha. I just swapped my stock lobster forks for turbo IIs, and I like the turbos so much more.

With that being said, I also am thinking the relative dislike of the lobstahs now=potential future classic. I've got mine on the wall in the garage and, who knows, they may go back on the car in 20 years or so

Do they turn red when exposed to hot water?

I like them so much I am buying a set this week ... to replace my Carrera III 18 inch 5-spokes. They are going to a fellow 928 enthusiast.

Not a big fan of forks, but I think I like the before picture best. They look great on that color combo.

After for me all the way! the Turbo II opens the rim up so much.To my untrained eye they look so much more modern and elegant.
