Default TPMS warning

Is there any way to turn off the TPMS warning when using aftermarket wheels without sensors?

It's not that aftermarket wheels don't have the sensors, it's that you sim[ply didn't have them installed on those wheels. Pretty much all wheels today accept the TPMS sensors. With such low profile tires, I wouldn't drive without their display up all the time. It's the first clue that you have a serious issue. It finds the problem before I will feel it on a 30 series tire!

No--it's not a simple thing. You could have a service department shut it down.

There are a lot of aftermarket wheels that can not be fitted with the TPMS sensors.

I imagine you'd need a dealer with the factory PIWIS tool to turn off the warning.

That said, no dealer in their right mind would have anything to do with disabling a TPMS system. It's against the law and the liability would be huge if anything was to happen with the system disabled.

Go to the GT3 discussion area and search "disable TPMS" - lots of good reading.
