Default Any dealer in Bay area with 991?

In Palo Alto for work and wondering if there's a dealer around the Bay area that's got any 991s on display?

Nope. They are still 2-3 weeks away.

PCNA hasn't even confirmed a delivery date yet.

Sorry.

FWIW, one of our local dealers here is having a "launch party" on 1/28. so...hopefully there will be a model on display at least by then.

A local dealer here in the bay area had scheduled a launch party for 1/21. That has been canceled and will be rescheduled when they know when the cars will be here. Seems to still be a mystery.

All 991 delivery dates have been canceled due to the controversial design of the posterior of the car. All orders will be either refunded or, optionally, buyers offered a chance to buy a true beauty: a 2012 GTS. The 991 will be sent back to receive a complete makeover and redesign, and will be launched as a MY2014. Launch parties at various dealers are hereby canceled until further notice.

"Many a truth is said in jest!" Presumably, the 991 will be a car that a lot of people will be seeing the back end of while driving. That said, why'd that have to make it so busy and generally unattractive? Also, as we know, PAG/VW is all about the profit but why don't they allow for different types of lettering (or no lettering) to be done by the dealer (for a price). It's not like it is serious engineering to stick on the "Carrera" or '911", etc. labels. And finally, while I'm at it, some years ago I wondered why PAG didn't offer a color matched (to body color) key body. How hard could it be to spec the plastic to their body color palette? Now I see they do offer such an option - for something like $350!

It is "strange" that it "takes" so much time to have 991 in the Bay area, while, I have seen already in Europe that few Non Porsche official "places" are offering already "used" 991 for sale !

To my eyes, pretty bad that PAG/VW are treating this important market like that.

I get it as a signal to go and see somewhere else, ..after 28 years non stop of 911 DD.
I was lucky to drive an MP4-12C recently for a good moment, and beside the facts that talking $, the equation is about 1 x MP4-12C = 2 x 991S, and, ..you have to do a little "gym" between walking by the car ..and be seated, I should say that the handling of this animal is simply ..another level.
..Just too bad that the Cab (name is Spyder on that case), is another year to come !

I doubt France is "important", ..and the "used" ones ..are available in France !

And, In Geneva, you can test drive a 991, ..since December !
OK, the Swiss P market has some kind of history, i.e.: this is where the first ones were delivered, but, this was "many" generations ago, but has no qty weight comparing to California, ..while, talking $, it is true that for the same model the prices there, are at least 30% higher !!!
