I have an '09 C2 that I bought in March with 19K on the odo. The 20K service was performed as part of the CPO process before I bought it. The car now has a little over 28K on it.
Last week, the computer was showing 1400 miles until service due, which would place the service right at the 10,000 mile oil change mark according to the book. Yesterday, with about 9,000 miles on it since the last service, the computer now says service due now.
Is this just the car's way of telling me that it's now close to the service interval? Or, is the computer independent of mileage and telling me to "git 'er done now"?
No big deal on this end, but I'm just curious if the computer is triggered by mileage or by something else.
