Hey Gibson - see if you can pin them down on the IMS coverage. A friend told me today to be very careful - in general with ext warranty cos, not just Costco. Sometimes they think they're buying just the new IMS part, not realizing they're in for a $20,000 engine. I specifically asked them this question and they told me it was all covered, but when I sign up I'm going to ask for it in some sort of written form.

I agree this could be a sticking point, but I do not see anything in the exclusions that could be an indicator of this. Noticed talk of cost of repair to cost of vehicle when purchased and keeping up on maintenance, but nothing else.
I haven't contacted them direct, but I have a hard time believing a rep on the phone would be able to answer the question.
Anyone have additional advice/experience here?
