Default Discounts on 2012 997.2S

I have noticed that several Porsche dealers are now offering at least $17-20K on Porsche GTS's in stock. I was wondering what folks are seeing with left overs 2012 997.2's?

1. What kinds of discounts are dealers offering?
2. Is Porsche offering $$ back to the dealers to sell the 2012 cars?
3. Do the members think if one can snag a significant discount (15-20%) on the car - Is it a good idea to buy a brand new car?

Any information/insight and advice/counsel is much appreciated.

Any plans on that GT3RS Ray? Is it keeping you awake at nights?

Evidently, you need a new picture for your signature....when are you going to fill me in? Still waiting to do lunch! Yes, still thinking about the GT3RS!

I believe your negotiation skills would get you to your ideal price rather than relying solely on any particular dealer.

if you can get 20k off a gts you should go for it, by experience, those high discount on new cars are not reflected on the used market.

Which mean you could very well sell your car is a year or two, for what you paid it for!

The new 991 will not bring the 997 gts price down. When the new 997 came up, the 996 was not selling for so much cheaper than it was a few month before the 997 was out.

A GTS for 95k woudl be a pretty good deal. it is a lot of power for the money
