Question 991 S dash

Is the dial with Carrera S really just that?

Every pic of it on porsche.com gallery only shows Carrera S.

Anyone seen one in person yet?

No...when you activate and assign certain functions to it, it displays added information.

Its very similar to what is found in the Cayenne and Panamera. I have it on my Cayenne. It has multiple screen through the stalk or if its a manual with the multifunction steering wheel or you don't have the flappy paddles. Its displays a color map (which is really cool btw), trip computers, vehicle info and vehicle adjustments , radio etc. Its a nice piece of tech.

As much as we (well, some of us) lament the changes being made to the 911 as the 991 gets introduced, it's still cool that the dash is pretty much the same darn thing as it used to be.

Personally, I always prefer an analog clock.

Look lower and to the right. You know, where the beautiful low tech handbrake used to be. That move is truly NOT cool in my book.

The 991 looks so luxurious.

I do like how they put the oil temp and oil pressure together in the one gauge on the left.
