A question about colors

I miss my mac brown cayman. It was sitting in the dealer lot for a while so I worked out a good deal on it. When I traded it for my cayenne I thought it would be back on their lot again for a while. Never saw on the lot. About two months later I saw someone driving it in the neighborhood so it appears it found a new owner quickly.
I noticed more Mercedes and Audi models on the road in metallic brown colors. The 991 also has a metallic brown option and Porsche used the mac brown frequently in their marketing last year. Nice to know the color has some legs.

I'm looking for a 2006-2008 and I'm specifically excluding Black, Silver and White.
So needless to say, pickings are slimmer. But the green and blue in this thread - I would pay MORE than the boring silver/black. I happen to love red so maybe I won't be waiting forever but that blue on black wheeled avatar pic would be my perfect look.

If I run into three Porsches a week then that's a good week of Porsche spotting. I paid a $700. premium for the PRG color and I have yet to see another one like it in this area. I would have preferred a non-metalic black color but I went with what was available. Had the premium color been the 3K that they get for some colors, I'd probably still be looking for a car. The $700. was a bargain for the color at that time.
I never thought that I'd be penalized for the color when it comes time to sell it. I've been stopped at a light and gotten a shout out from another car about how much they like the color. The fact that it isn't grey is a plus for me. Like I said, I don't see too many Porsches but the color I see the most is grey.
I would have bought the Blue or the Macadamia if they had been available... According to the market place I'd have been wrong with those colors also.

With the Espresso interior--very nice. But always remember that brown is an unusual color. It has a limited life. It will look dated in less time than, say, any silver, red, or blue. Green has the same problem.

Porsche has a great history of unique color combinations. Check out the early ones:

IMO, Porsche had to come up with an exterior color (Cognac) that actually worked with the Espresso interior. I will be surprised if we see many Cognac 991s on the road. While it is not a real good looking color IMO, it is certainly not a as bad as Nordic Gold.
