I have a funny feeling that people with avatars that are inappropriate have a snowball's chance in hell of winning. Babylonboots for example ...

It would be a fitting reward for my decision this year to buy winter wheels/tires and drive my 997 in the winter instead of saving her for the next owner!

I would love to have a copy of this book. I would proudly display it on the coffee table in our living room. Of course I will have to keep finding it every other day as my wife hides it. After a few months of this it will find it's proud little corner of the table.

At my age, carrying a heavy book onto buses is impractical and damaging to my health. I need to win this book.

I am an ****-obsessive spacecraft engineer who keeps getting tempted into discussions of Porsche engineering and the nine books I have don't seem to cover as much ground as this one volume, so I must have it. But if I buy another Porsche book my wife will insist on some very expensive quid pro quo for the whole German-car business and that will keep me from putting new tires on the C2S and I'll have to take a bus around town.

The affair continues...
I grew up with the 911. I saw the '64 launch model and vowed to get one. I could get one after school, but family priorities and career postponed my first 11 many years, through a long list of station wagons, compacts and family sedans. This video (albeit targeting a Boxster) pretty much tells the story:
My view of a 911 is what this book stories - a unique, compact, nimble, all-in-the-rear, pendulum dynamics, direct sports car. The book is all about the 911 journey, its soul, and the people behind its design. There's a slot in my library shelf for that book.
