Default Angle Rotate Sensor???

Guys
I was climbing under my 997 cab (2006) (Exhaust Install) and I noticed the strut that attached to what I believe is the Angle Rotate Sensor has broken off the mount and is hanging loose. Any idea what this senor does as I have not noticed any issues.
I will get it fix but I am looking for more info if possible.
Thanks

ps. the link below shows the sensor #18 and the strut hanging down #19.
Thanks
Jason

This is a very important sensor. I believe that after you have had your suspension realigned you are SUPPOSED to have that Angle Rotate Sensor adjusted as well. Many shops don't do it--aren't aware of it, and it can have a negative impact on how the car handles down the road. Found it: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...libration.html

Hummm, I was told...when I changed out my lower control arms to GT3 adjustable arms that the part you are speaking about is for the Litronics headlight angle sensor. This sensore allows the bi-xeons to level out properly. I'm not sure what you mean by rotate sensor.

Thanks Mdrum I have a fault code for the head lights as they are not leveling properly. I got the name off the link to the Porsche Parts break down from the link.
I will have to get the mount and see if that fixes my head lights.
If any one else has more detail it would be appreciated.

The angle sensor is part of the PSM system I believe. It helps the car determine the intended direction of travel as compared to the actual direction of travel via the yaw sensor. Basically, it helps the system figure out what you want the car to do and get there from what the car is actually doing.

Yep that is it...get the link and re mount it and the head light will level out and the dealer or possibily someone with the Durametric software on their computer can clear the fault code out but your warning light should go away.

Mdrum wins the prize, took off the wheel and played with the sensor and sure enough head light beams adjusted and fault went away. Hopefully this thread will help some one in the future as I have seen a few cars with this fault but no one mentioned how easy it would be to check this sensor or the plastic mounting bracket.
Thanks
Jason
