Difference is 15.75 mm or 0.62 inch, so diameter difference would theoretically be 1.24 inch
According to the tirerack table difference is (26.9 - 25.5) 1.4 real world inches, assume with some rounding to one decimal place
He didn't say he was going to increase the profile of the tire. Just the width. Increasing the profile from 35 to 40 would be a significant change as noted more than 1 inch. But keep the profile the same and only change the width and the height change is very small, around 1/4 inch.

- Handling? Street or track... I assume less understeer. But does it REALLY improve handling? as the car's suspention is desinged for 235/305.
- Ride? What impact the higher sidewall has?
- Fit? Does it fit ok with no scraping?
- Any changes in speedometer readings?
- Any ill effects, issues that one should watch out for?

Thanks
245/305 are fine for 8.5"/11" rims. if you have stock 8"/10" wide rims you are better on 235/285 tires. 10" rim takes any tire from 265 to 295.

suspension is not designed for speific tires size, you put on tires that fit best. i run on track on 275/335 tires on 9"/12" 18" rims. on a street i use regular stock 8"/10" rims with 235/275 tires.

only mportant limitation is to maintain proper ratio between front/rear tire diameters - ideally front tire should be close to 25" tall, rear tire should be .6"-1" taller.

I believe the OP has the Carrera sport wheels which are a 1/2 wider at 8.5.
Therefore go w/ 245-35-19

Thanks! I got 8.5 wheels, so 245 should be fine. I am asking because I am up for summer tire upgrade in 2-3mos time, and I like to know which size should I get and these tires would be my street/track combo tires.
