Many people have Dension. Fully integrated with the PCM.
I have it in mine. Installation was relatively easy and the easy of use and sound is very good.
Others have gone down the fm modulated route.

If I had to do it over again...i'd do the Dension again and again.

$417 from Bumperplugs.

And for $83 more you can integrate bluetooth for your phone through the PCM as well. Great deal. I paid considerably more.

Agreed. Call Bumperplugs. I have the Dension, and while it's not a perfect system, it works well enough for our older system.

I use a wireless transmitter that clips onto the top of the i-pod.

Simple , cheap , and works very well.

Djork on 6speedonline asked the same question and found someone who hooked up a cable to the cd changer.

If you go Dension, I'll sell you mine.
I had it in my '06 997 C2 for about 9 months. Bought a 2011 C2S, so now I don't need it. It's in my closet.

There's also this OEM solution which came pre-installed on my car!

This is simply a better FM modulator, so no control from PCM. You decide if this or Dension is the betteroption for you?

The cheapest and easiest option that I found (at the suggestion of somebody here) is to use the Motorola Roadster with an iPhone. The Roadster uses a rechargeable battery (and includes a car power cord) and clips to the visor. No wiring or installation required. It's a bluetooth device that has a built-in speaker phone as well as an FM transmitter. I connect my iPhone to the Roadster via bluetooth and then the Roadster to the radio via the FM transmitter, and I can play my music over the radio and have phone conversations. As you might imagine, the sound quality isn't great, but it's not much worse than regular FM radio.
