anyone noticed the ridiculous # of scam ads in cars.com?
or is it just me and the prices are falling precipitously, which, well, you know...

LOL. I've seen those. I had a guy with a crazy low priced GTR and due to his wife's illness he wanted to sell it for $45K quick. Same thing like you mentioned with the payment . . .

I reported one such ad early in my search after being given the old divorced, don't drive, car in storage, etc. The ad was removed from cars.com followed by an email thanking me from cars.com. One week later the same car, pictures, description showed up again on cars.com.

Yep...i certainly noticed the sudden increase in the scams on cars.com. Not sure if it's only in 911s though. I trick i found useful is to ask them to pay a bit more and I will throw in Brooklyn Bridge for free. Sofar, I haven't bee successful generating a response yet.

I've seen the same thing on Ebay. A vehicle for a crazy price and they want to to do Cheeta flips to get the car. When you complain to Ebay they pull the ad only to have the same car with the same photo, same story, show up with the same seller in a different state.
