Default OT: Garage Cabinets for a tight 2-car garage?

Any recommendations of good garage cabinets and shelvs for a smaller 2-car garage? I wanna make sure it's functional yet, efficient in space management and not sure what are the better options.

Thanks

im thinking about the same thing. The best thing is to use the wasted space ABOVE the cars.

Yeah for sure that'd be used. I like to know if there's a good plan for such setups. I also need a proper tire rack to store my winter tires!

Gladiator GarageWorks Geartrack and Gearwall works very well and is very easy to install.
Tons of accessories, cabinets and shelves available. I have tons of it in my garage and love it.
Available at Sears, Lowes, and Ace Hardware.
Sears has tons of sales on this stuff pretty frequently.
I have these surrounding my entire garage at about 9' level.

sometimes home depot (stores like it) sell individual kitchen cabinets, that's the route I went with. Nice clean, simple cabinets that you hang. The whole wall cost me about $300.

krysFly, that is exactly the route I went. You have to assemble them but it's peanuts. They use press fit dowels and the little camscrew type fasteners. About $75-100 or so each. I put them up at about 5 feet so I can open the car doors. I think mine are 24" wide, 30 or 32" tall and about a foot deep, with 2 adjustable shelves. Low brow but completely effective. Plus they match the drywall in my garage! Home Depot.

Tirerack.com has this storage for $129. Can be mounted to the stubs on the wall.

Yes, that's what I am routing for, however, with shipping and taxes the $129 rack becomes $300 delivered!

Ask freinds, family and neighbors who may be remodeling their kitchens, and nab their old cabinets. Maybe a little painting/staining....and rehang in your garage.

Cool, thanks. Problem is, I am in Canada and those free shipping shippings don't apply to me, although I probably will ship to my WA mailbox and go pick it up.

Alex: For straight cabinet storage, I found that Ikea has some good choices that aren't too expensive. They have soft close european hinges that are fully adjustable to make sure the doors look good. They mount easily on a wall-mounted rail, and look good. In my last house, I made my own cabinets. But after seeing these, I figured it wasn't worth my time to make my own anymore. I purchased the plain white enamel finish.
