Interesting. Nobody has ever hinted at wanting to run against any Porsche I've owned. I wouldn't want them to anyway.
Maybe it's because they know it's a 3.6 and, therefore, isn't very fast;-)
Now that you can get a CGT for $65,000 used it's all a bit moot regarding the wealth required to drive on of these cars.

step one is buying, step 2 is maintaining.... same reason I won't buy a Ferrari anytime soon. I just would never shell out XXXX $ for a car that requires so much shop time and a clutch at 10K miles or less. One can get a F car 355 for 50K.... but will they pay to keep it running? Not saying the build quality of a CGT is that of a 355 but maintenance and any possible issues will cost some $. That said I think your 65K is a bit light....85-90K++ to get anything half way decent ....
