Default Bose Amp on a non-Bose car?

I was wondering if it's possible to just swap out the OEM Non-Bose Amp with a Bose Amp?

Bose amps are available for pennies, so thought if it's a plug-and-play, why not? However, I highly suspect it'd work, as Porsche design their parts not to be easily upgradable!
