I just came by a 2005 Carrera. Does anyone know where to find option code label and engine code? I would like to know the options and the engine is a remanufactured one due to IMS failure three years ago. Thank you.

 

Look on the bottom of the engine from the driver's side for the engine number.

Option numbers are routinely stuck inside the warranty book. (They used to stick the options list on the inside of the front trunk lid--but abandoned that years ago.)

 

Thanks. The car had a new engine in August 2008 and it is a M96 type with AT in the numbering. I haven't seen the numbering yet for the codes. Need to check the service manual as you suggest.
