Is there a reason why it's not good to use 18" 265's rears on a C4S for winter
I have the 295's on mine but I have a friend who just bought a set of NB winters for his C4S
They fit ok with spacers but I had suggested to him that the book says 295's for a wide body car and when he asked me why he shouldn't use 265's I didnt have an answer![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Has anyone used the 18" 265's on their WB cars?

Yes - I ran 265 18" last winter. I used a 15mm spacer (H&R) and it was fine. I ran it without the spacer for a week, but it looked dumb with the wheel so far inset. The spacer made it look normal. They were amazing in the snow - I was actually looking for unplowed areas to enjoy!

Many recommend a 265 for the rears and 235 for the fronts on 18" rims as the optimum winter setup. Thats what I am going to go with for my C4S for winters. Now the offset is a different story and you need to find (if you go with this setup) an 8x18 and 10x18 rims with the right WB offset

Just use a spacer in the back and you're fine. I use 265/235 and I think that's much better than going with 295.

I used 265/235 on an old Turbo wheel with 5mm spacers all around. It didn't look too bad but I also didn't want to change the spacers just for the winter. Here's out it looked on my previous car last year. I'll be using the same wheels on my C4S.
