I used to believe that mantra...until I did the exhaust mods on my 997.1. While I'm not going to say I got 25 additional horses, because I don't have any way of measuring that, I will say without question the car is faster... by a good bit.

I know Porsche option prices are high, but even Porsche would have a hard time convincing themselves that they can charge $16,000 for the Carrera Power Kit for a 25 HP gain, if they knew that a X pipe setup costing $700 could do the same thing.

IMO, Fabspeed = hyperbole.
Well Sharkwerks which is almost identical claim 12 whp increase too on a Mustang Dyno.... Maybe the true value lies somewhere in the middle...

I never had time to dyno my car before the AWE pipes change and i am not that sensitive to recognize 5 or 10 hp difference... LOL

The only thing i cared about was the sound which came out to be perfect for my taste...

Hey guys, wanted to update everyone on our 997.2 X Pipe Bypass. Our X Pipe isn't really an X, its actually two full radius U bends with a cut out talk area in the middle. This allows the exhaust gases to meet for noise control, flow balance and increase exhaust scavenging for more power. This is why you cant compare our X Pipe to the AWE, because they are not the same. Its also why the HP results from theirs differs from ours. The AWE and Sharkwerks crossover pipes do sound good, it makes a nice improvement but the X Pipe made great power on these cars. It made +13 HP and +20 Ft Lbs of Torque on the Dyno overall. But there was some big +20 HP gains in some areas of the RPM range. But you can definitely feel a noticeable power increase in the car after the upgrade.
I hope this helps anyone that had questions or is curious of the product differences. I have them in stock and I can offer a member discount to anyone that is interested.
Thanks and let me know if you have any questions.
