Can any of you guys point me in the direction of a vender where I can get black powder coated tips for my PSE. I personally dont like the chrome or the two different size tips. Thanks in advance. 08 C2S Cab

As others have posted, after prepping with a fine steel wool, I spray painted mine with ultra high-temp satin paint. It looks great and is also inexpensive and very durable after months of use. And if I have a change of heart I can always revert back to the original stainless.

I would do that but I dont like the PSE tips. Thought if I was gonna get new tips, might as well get them already finished. Thanks for the suggestion

I've never seen aftermarket tips for the PSE.

PSE has two pipes into each tip. The standard exhaust uses one pipe into each tip.

GL, but don't believe you'll find another tip that will work.

I did that to my after-market sports exhaust tips, and one hot day at the track literally disintegrated the powder coating.

It looked like my tips had been snorting cocaine. Turned the black coating into white powder. Very funky.

They have now been ceramic coated. That's what I recommend.

Ceramic coating may not be necessary. I now have 6,000+ miles on my black smoke (translucent) powdercoated tips, and they look as good now as the day I re-installed them. Of course I have the standard Carrera tips, which may act differently than the PSE tips.

I think you'll find that if you go with the ceramic coating, you may not get a 'glossy' finish on your tips. I've done a couple sets of m/c pipes in black ceramic, and they definitely weren't 'glossy'.

it's definitely a function of heat. I doubt it would have happened had I not run the car a little hard at the track. (emphasis on "little" as it was my first time and I still really don't have the handle of it).

Seriously unless you are doing the black chrome look like NC997 has then just prep them and paint them with hi-temp engine paint. It will last longer and look just as good.

Matte black paint would better hide the crud from the exhaust soot that builds up. I'm just sayin... some of us only was the exhaust ports one or twice a year.

On the 09 C2S I had I used a matt black high-temp exhaust paint I got at Auto Zone. I painted them once and they lasted 3 years and countless track events. I never had to touch them up or hardly clean them. Total cost was $4 and 1 hour of my time
