Funny you mentioned the fins....I never thought about removing them until I looked at a photo. I'm not sure they could be totally removed with out some weirdness in the molds showing. Next time I have the bumper off I might look into doing that though.
Mike,

Here is your original pic and 2 other quick photo shopped pics. The first has only the horizontal fins removed and the second has the complete fin grid removed.

Did the removal require a saw, some modification, or just dissassembly. thx.

I think that the complete fin removal looks best.

The 2nd second and 3rd pics are not actual pictures, they are "touched up" photos. The only tool I needed was photo shop software.

gota911, I have to say I think it looks better with out those intake fins. Thanks for the PS work.....I wish I could operate PS like that!

Next time bumper comes off I will look and see how these fins come off the bumper mold.

After only 15 years I got around to putting in mesh. Found bird parts, cigarette butts, etc. They suck up everything.

We have customers send us photos from time to time, we have seen whole birds 🦅, cigarette 🚬 butts, smashed beer cans, 3 inch chunks of steel, foam, no shortage of insects, rocks, leaves, tumble weed at 100mph leaves a mess in there!

I cleaned out my radiators and found lots of junk and one of them weeping so I changed it out. It looked like the sand and dirt corroded the tubes. The bumper cover removal is straight forward. I bought screening from CustomCarGrills.com. All in cost for screen and neoprene rubber edge trim and fasteners was $170. I was able to hide all but one fastener. The screen that I used blocks 17% of the air flow and the new CSF all aluminum radiator is 20% more efficient.

The left over screening shown in the picture is available if anyone wants it. You pay shipping. PM me.
