Default Help with a dumb seat belt problem

I tipped the passenger seat forward in order to wrangle a small suitcase in the back. When I tipped the seat forward again, I found the seat belt had hooked itself over the seat back, and now can't be freed, apparently because of tension on the belt. Any suggestions?

Have you tried changing the height adjustment for the belt on the door pillar? Depending on how the belt is positioned this might give you a little extra slack and take the tension off of the inertial reel. If that doesn't work, you may have to unbolt the belt at it's lower attachment point. It's not hard to do.
