Default 997.2 PDK Gas Mileage Differences?

Hey guys..curious as to whether you get less/more gas mileage on a C4S vs a C2 or C2S Carrera with PDK? Recently went from a C2S to a C4S and wonder if the all wheel drive will cause as signifcant difference in gas mileage. Its been super hot here in Tx with 102+ days almost for the last 30-45 days straight and I do not a significant change in gas mileage with A/C running vs not and hwy vs city/mixed driving.

Are there any issues with C4S regarding gas mileage...I've heard something about fuel pump issues with 997.2's also. Am curious as to what to expect and others experiences...that's all. Thanks. Rob

PDK gives you better gas mileage if you short shift and drive in 7th... but what's the point of driving a 911 and doing that?

These are Porsche's MPG ratings from the web site. C2's do slightly better than C4's and PDK cars slightly better than manuals, but nothing significant. These numbers are definitely achieveable if you have the will power and desire. If seen 24-25 highway with my PDK C2S but low 20's highway are more normal. Guess I don't have the desire.

Porsche recently had a campaign to install upgraded HP fuel pumps; mine was replaced even though it had shown no signs of a problem. I would expect any potential future issues with the pump were resolved.

C2 Man PDK
City 18 mpg 19 mpg
Highway 25 mpg 27 mpg

C2S Man PDK
City 18 mpg 19 mpg
Highway 25 mpg 26 mpg

C4 Man PDK
City 18 mpg 18 mpg
Highway 24 mpg 26 mpg

C4S Man PDK
City 18 mpg 18 mpg
Highway 25 mpg 26 mpg

Rob,

Porsche has issued a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) WB08 for potential HPFP replacement. Dealers are to check VIN numbers as cars are brought in for service. If you car is on the list then it will probably be eligible for a HPFP replacement. No charge, of course.
