So I recently traded in my '05 Arctic Silver cabriolet with the removable hardtop for an '09 cabriolet in Midnight Blue Metallic. I kept the hardtop and was planning to have it repainted. But when I mounted it on the car to take it to the paintshop, the contrast between the silver and the blue was quite striking and so I'm thinking of keeping it silver. I've also been encourage by a recent article in the Sept. issue of Excellence about a blue 356 Speedster cabriolet with a removable white hardtop which looks quite striking.
Any thoughts, opinions?

Definitely not......It just so happens I have aa hardtop from a 2001 Carrera in Midnight Blue that my sister has held for me and I never used after the first 2 years. I live in NJ and if you want it you can have mine!

I think it will look good. Think about the soft tops. There are many Blue cars with Gray soft tops. I am thinking about replacing my black soft top to gray on my Boxster.
Plus, if you are happy with it then keep it.

I don't think it would look that bad. Most of the soft tops don't match, so why would a hard top have to follow a different criteria? Also, if the top matches the interior, might be kind of cool. If this is for winter use only, people will already think you're crazy for driving a 911 in the winter. If it's on for a few months, no loss.
