This evening I drove my FIRST 997, an 05 Cab/Tip..it lives around the corner but I have never seen it in the neighborhood, so we just went to see it.
I hope that this was just a bad example..at 65,000 miles it felt like perhaps 265,000...
The first 100 feet it felt "wrong" almost like it was all loose underneath.
The trans was OK, the top worked fine, the seats were sort of dirty but looked "cleanupable" body seemed to be all original, no previous damage,
price at $42,000 firm...truth be told .. I wouldn't have paid half that for it.
I hope this was just a very bad example....
My last 911 (87 Targa) was TIGHT and solid at 140,000 when i sold it..
The 00 Boxster I just sold was like a new car at 35,000 miles...
I think I'd better look at a LOT of them before I decide if I want one.

Never rush on these....there are so many finer examples out there. My guess is that the Florida weather may have taken a toll on that car. Beige interior? If the car has little real leather inside the 'slush' finish doesn't hold up well. There are certain pieces that should be leather in order to hold up better as the miles are racked up.
