Apologies to Ecostellodo - but that is a very good idea.
Some of us just completed a nifty 2+ week trip down the west coast including a bit of the PCH and an absolute rip through some nifty narrow roads leaving wine country.
28.5 MPG (Imperial) on an average of 89 KPH -
I'm impressed because that included a number of hours of 80+ MPH freeway and some LA, WeHo and Santa Monica bumper-to-bumper traffic.
That equates to around 24 MPG US and average speed of 55 mph over 55 total hours driving time.
Fantastic trip, can't wait for the next one.
It was also interesting that the AMG SL63 in the group was pulling at least 1/3 more fuel at each stop, so I'm guessing he averaged something like 17-18 mpg under exactly the same conditions.

Options are wide open for various forms of dining, shopping and people watching.
Nice density of very good hand car washes too - a must after many miles on the I5.
Thanks!
I must say I was very impressed with how willingly drivers pulled off to the side to allow us to pass on "challenging" roads.

Yes, Weho is great fun but you must be completely non-homophobic (at the very least homo-tolerant) to really enjoy all aspects of it. I usually stay at the Le Montrose nicely wedged between Sunset and Santa Monica Blvds.

Given the high MPGs... it does not appear much of a spirited drive.

Every trip down we pick up a new driving road or two. One of my favorites is the Crescent City/Grants Pass cut-off.
Eventually we'll make Vancouver - LA into a 6 week return journey.

No shots, just an observation. You drive as you drive, and that's plenty fine for me.
