Congrats on your purchase. Great looking car. The price you paid was very reasonable given the miles and you should be very satisfied that you have a great car, know the history and that it will give you years of fun driving.
Enjoy.

Thank you to all for the comments!
Reading the forum for the past 6 months everyday & learning from everyone made the process a lot of fun.
I have not been able to take it on a spirited romp yet! Hopefully I can do this soon on a nice twisty road. So far, just trips back & forth to work!
It is not CPO'd since I bought it from a private party. But since I know the PO and the car, and the PPI/DME came out well, I felt comfortable with it. In fact, I told myself that I didn't mind paying a slight premium for that knowledge (although perhaps at the price I paid I ended up not really paying too much extra, it sounds like).
I've been in love with the 997 since it came out and it feels awesome to finally have one! I plan on keeping it for a long time to come. I bought it to be a daily driver and actually use it, not just a garaged weekend toy. So I'm really looking forward to the future with it!

$50K too much? Nope...you just paid half-price for a brand new 997!

Beautiful car! I used to own a 1989 Targa that was Guards Red with tan interior, and I love that color combo. In fact, that was the #1 color combo I was looking for when I bought my 2006, but never could find one. So I "settled" on Speed Yellow (which I absolutely love, too )
Post more pics if you could - I'd love to see what the interior looks like.
Enjoy!

Thanks, guys, for the comments!
Interior pics coming up, csorrows! I'll have to take some tomorrow for you. We actually got some rain this evening (finally!), so wasn't really able to take any.
I also like this color combo. It came with black Porsche floor mats which I actually like better, not only some contrast but also shows less dirt (that is, if you were to actually bring dirt into the car somehow, lol).

Well done on the Guards Red. Mid fifties is a great price for a 2007 C2S with only 12,000 miles on the clock and presumably in show room condition.
Enjoy it in good health.
