Coupe or cabriolet? (The softer fleece-lined covers shed onto cab tops). The replies from then are still valid. Dimensionally, the 997 remains the same. I have been happy with one from Griot Garage. It's slick (something I would not normally choose) but it launders well--even dries in a dryer).

A second vote for Griots. I used the Form Fit cover which fits beautifully and is soft enough to protect against the occasional rub/bump from a purchase, kids toys etc. Probably not thick enough to protect against larger impacts but I'm not sure any other covers would help in this situation.

I plan on buying on for my Spyder for the winter hibernation, I'll pick black so when it does shed it won't be as obvious.

I have the Dust Stop made by Kimberly-Clark. Great cover for the indoors.

I use the factory outdoor cover since my car sits in a car port as opposed to a garage. It has a tough exterior and a "felt" type material on the inside. I believe it would actually prevent light dings since it is fairly thick. I routinely just pop it in the washing machine and dryer, and it seems to suffer no ill effects. The only part about it I don't like is the rear license plate covering which is made of plastic and lies against the bumperettes. I can't see any marring from it, but it gives me the heebie jeebies.
